The real winner - nether of these unfortunately

Instaed, it's the 2000V. All the elegance of the Overseas line, without the bulkiness as it retains the original 1120 movement. It is the most elegant combination of the 222 and 3rd gen overseas. VC needs to quickly re-release this watch. This watch shoul

Both beautiful. Tough choice.

For me I would pick the Overseas. I love the shine of the dial and of course the beautiful blue color. The 222 is very nice but I even prefer the dimensions of the overseas. For the bracelet there is no comparison; the 222 hands down. But as someone else

The gold on gold dial convinced me to vote for the 222

Comparing these exact models, I voted for the 222 in this showdown. There are Overseas models I prefer over the 222, but not the one they chose.. The Overseas Ultra Thin (2000V) that was released in 2016 with the Cal 1120 feels like the true spiritual suc

Prefer the slimmer

look of the Historiques 222 but bemoan the loss of the 1120 movement with this re-edition. Maybe its too soon to tell, but I am curious to know if they've addressed the weak point of the original bracelet design where it joined the case. The pins would st

If I was fortunate enough to acquire it and have it sized appropriately . . .

You would think that there wasn’t any taper at all from the size. You wouldn’t appreciate it until you flipped your wrist over. It’s similar to my Alpine Eagle XPS, which only has a slight taper compared to the 222:

Some live shots of the Vacheron Constantin 222 in stainless steel . . .

I previously had an opportunity to see the 222 in yellow gold last year in January at the Los Angeles boutique: Love the size but it was a little too flashy and monotone for my tastes: Fast forward to Friday, I finally had the opportunity to see it’s sibl

Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921 Ref. 82035/000R-9359 Review

Dear All, I was visiting the Vacheron Boutique to get my 222 looked at as it kept losing a few minutes. For a few weeks I had been looking for a watch to celebrate my upcoming 50th Birthday from other brands, but I ended up buying something I already had

Think about what this competition implies...

Imagine if you were Chanel; and you had such a competition. Would the Chanel Maison want to admit that Lagerfeld's designs are better than the current designer Matthieu Blazy's? In the car world, it makes more sense. As it's still a competition of eleganc

Nice! Looks great.

I’m really on the fence with the 222. I love it, and would buy it instantly if my name comes up, but at secondary market prices, I don’t know. I’m currently looking for another watch around the market price range of the 222, but I get hung up on what else
